Postcards from Falmouth
As Lizzie had a lecture to attend one morning, and I had only seen Penryn and Falmouth through bus windows so far, I took the opportunity to walk into town to meet her. I slowly got myself together, grabbed my camera, and embarked on my uphill workout.
There was something to admire down every path and around every corner. I relished every minute spent snapping away in the dense forest, down cobbled streets, and from high vantage points. Everything felt mystical and whimsical; particularly in the midday sun. I didn't dare think about the amount of photographs I would be sifting through when I got home...
When I reached the high street and town area, I was greeted by colourful bunting and independent shops brimming with trinkets. I found my cousin and pals in 8-Bit; a rad video-game themed bar and cafe. We spent a few hours drinking hot chocolate and playing Mario Kart 8 on the WiiU. I won one race out of four. I guess you could say I've got a knack for it.
Not wanting to show anyone else up with my skills, I stepped out whilst they continued to play. I peeked in a few shops then walked around to the harbour to get a better look at it. Just looking at the boats and houses has me thinking about the lives of those who live in them. I hope one day I'll be one of them. I would love to live by the sea.
