Postcards from Sagrada Família
I can quite easily say that Sagrada Família is the most beautiful building I have ever visited. Not only is it impressive in size, but wherever your gaze falls will be met with overwhelmingly intricate detail. The first picture in this post is only a tiny section of the Temple's exterior.
A majority of the building outside is currently covered with tarpaulin, or obscured by scaffolding and workers. Initial construction started in the 1880s and all architectural work is scheduled for completion in 2026. It's exciting to know the astounding Church could be completely finished in my lifetime.
There is so much that could be said about Sagrada Família's beauty. From the carved statues, to the various stained glass windows, and the patterns made by the light pouring through them... But if I'm honest with you, I feel like the photographs speak for themselves.
